PFC members volunteering with Direct Life Foundation

We would like to thank Direct Life Foundation for contacting us and inviting us to do some volunteering work with them! We agreed immediately when we found out that we will be bringing the elderly from Metta Welfare Association to SEA Aquarium, we thought that it will be a meaningful day for our members.

On the actual day, our members met up at 8am as we are supposed to report at Sentosa by 9am. It was a Saturday weekend and while many were still asleep, we woke up before 7am so that we will not be late for our first volunteering work together

By 9:45am, the elderly from Metta Association arrived and each of us were tagged to one elderly. Even though most of them had to be in wheelchair, they were all very friendly and we had lots of fun with them. From their expression, we can tell that they were all excited with this trip! One grandma even told us that it's her first time travelling out of her home, she was really nervous and yet excited!

After bringing them around and showing them the SEA Aquarium, we sat down and had lunch with them. We chatted with the elderly and it was really nice to hear their stories. It feels like chatting with our own grandparents.

 It was a hot day but the smile on our faces showed how happy we were

It was a good and meaningful 4 hours spent with them! And we were so proud that our youngest PFC member that went were only 15 year old and he told us that he wants to volunteer again because he really enjoyed himself and would like to do more meaningful stuff together!

Once again, thank you Direct Life Foundation! PFC will definitely continue to volunteer and help out whenever we can! And I, as the Fan Club President, am proud to say, we are not just a Fan Club, PFC is a Fan Club who will come together to do charity and give back to the society, we are here to spread LOVE! :)

PFC Annual Gathering 2016 - With Pornsak

Our Second Annual Gathering...

We started the gathering with some annoucements as well as we play a little game while waiting for Pornsak's arrival. Everyone was having lots of fun.

And of course, when he arrives, everyone screamed and clapped!!

First up was a recapped of 2015, we presented a few slides of what we had done last year to refresh everyone's memory.

After which we sang Birthday song and look how much Pornsak loves the elephant cupcakes! Aren't they adorable? We love it too! Simply too cute to resist!

Pornsak had a little task that day. He had to figure out the names of all the members who had attended and everyone loves this segment!

He also brought along 3 paintings painted by his dad for 3 lucky winners that day! They are so honoured to be able to receive it!

Halfway through, we even have God of Fortune crashing in the party and of course we don't mind abit! It was fun and we even took a photo with him!

Afterwhich, it was the time for presents!!!

We had prepared some presents for Pornsak and as we know he prefers us doing charity over spending money on gifts for him. We decided that we can have both! Not only did we renew our sponsorship for Pornsawan (Our sponsored elephant), we also bought 30 pcs of cross stitch keychain from Jiahui, one of the beneficiary from Joy Truck! We hope that with our little spendings, we will be able to help her in some ways and also everyone gets to bring something home.

We also gifted Pornsak with our handmade mobile elephants and a photo collage of members sharing the reasons why they love Pornsak!

Lastly, we ended our 2 hours gathering with a group photo with Pornsak! Everyone went home feeling happy and satisfied!

We would also like to take this chance to thank everyone who made this possible! Big thank you to all our members who volunteered their time and help out and for those who managed to turn up. Thank you Porn's Sexy Thai Food for the wonderful place and yummy food! And of course, thank you Pornsak for making this happen for all of us! We love you! :)

Thye Hua Kwan Charity Show 2015 | Host: Pornsak, Lee Teng & Lu Yu

SINGAPORE: Singers Stefanie Sun, Tiger Huang and a host of local celebrities will perform at the Thye Hua Kwan Charity Show 2015, said organisers on Thursday (Dec 11),

Artistes such as Taiwan’s Chou Hui and Hong Kong’s Jenny Tseng will also perform during the televised fundraiser, along with Singapore singers Liu Ling Ling and Hao Hao.

Local celebrities Kym Ng, Paige Chua, Tay Ping Hui and Desmond Tan will sing the show’s theme song as the evening’s opening act.

“I’m really excited to get this opportunity to sing! Most people may not know this, but I actually started out as a singer, and released a few albums before becoming an actress and a host. Still, we won’t be singing a pop song, so I’ll have to make sure I get the tone right!” said Ng at a media conference for the show.

Vivian Lai, Zhang Zhen Huan, Jeffrey Xu, Pierre Png and a few others will be doing their bit for charity by blowing up balloons to create a balloon sculpture over the course of the three-hour show.
“I haven’t started preparing for this balloon sculpture segment yet, but I did inflate a few balloons consecutively in the past, and halfway through, I was out of breath and my face was pale, so I think I’ll have to take frequent breaks. It will be a pretty big challenge!” said Xu.

Hosted by Pornsak, Lee Teng and China’s Lu Yu, the Thye Hua Kwan Charity Show 2015 aims to raise S$5.5 million to fund the more than 70 programmes and services it provides, which help more than 44,000 beneficiaries.

Those who wish to donate can call 1900 112 6688 to make a S$10 donation, 1900 112 7788 to make a S$20 donation and 1900 112 8888 to make a S$50 donation. These telepoll lines will remain open till Feb 13 next year.

The Thye Hua Kwan Charity Show 2015 will be telecast live on Jan 4, 7pm on MediaCorp's Channel 8.
