Xu Hui Lai (48) suffers from Paraplegia after an accident in 2008. His wife, who has been suffering from mild anxiety due to the unfortunate turn of event, is suddenly required to take up the responsibility to support the family. She also suffers from spiral problems, hypertension and diabetes. Their daughter is a slow learner and needs attend the special school. The whole family is now living a difficult life, depending on the remaining earning of Hui Lai and the limited amount of CPF. Artistes ambassadors this week are Zoe Tay and Dennis Chew!

Jue Ming (7 years old) is suffering from Hemophilia B, which requires him to undergo weekly treatments. Fortunately, the costs of the treatment ($300/injection) are fully subsidised. Jue Ming also has mild autism and slow in learning. To take care of him, his father had to resign, leaving his mother earning a monthly salary of $2000 to support the family. Xie Zhi Cheng (61) was awarded the 2015 Inspirational Patient Award. Despite his disabilities, he lives a fulfilling life, selling tissues to earn some money and also providing free wheelchair repair services to his neighbors and the elderly.Madam Yap (51) was diagnosed with brain damage and stroke back in 2006, and requires full day care, and feeding through nasal tubes. Her brother Johnny became the financial support and caregiver. Both Zhi Cheng and Madam Yap are beneficiaries of the Home Nursing Foundation, a voluntary welfare organization that provide home healthcare to the needy patients. Artistes ambassadors this week are Elvin Ng and Vivian Lai!

Madam Wu (71) had adopted Wen Hao 10 years ago while she was engaged as his nanny. Wen Haos parents left their son in her care when he is diagnosed with autism when he was three. Despite barely making ends meet, Madam Wu still engaged a home tutor to help Wen Hao cope with his studies. Madam Wu is stricken with kidney problem, diabetes and breast cancer. The family is facing challenges meeting their financial needs.
